In this small update I've been making some changes to revert our chat back to the minimalistic appearance it used to have.
- We removed the dash before users text.
- Survivor rank no longer has a tag, since it's really not a definable rank anyways.
- Donor ranks have been changed back to the old chat format with a single letter.
- Join/Leave messages were reverted to the 2013 style we had where it's shortened and gray so it doesn't seem to clutter the chat as much.
- /map and /donate now have updated URL's.
I've been neglecting the semi-large update I promised on the old website, this is due to a lot of other things coming up both in real life and on the servers end. As you can tell I've been busy with countless things such as designing this website, getting buycraft up, setting up the new server we're on now, setting up web hosting and domain management, and the SMP server. I will be getting back to work on DayZ very shortly here, so here's a list of things I...
Welcome to our new website, after deciding that Enjin was a terrible in just about every manner, I've gone ahead and purchased a license to Xenforo. It's a much more professional and much better established forum solution that should definitely express some major improvements over the terrible attempt to be a social network that Enjin is.
As some of you are aware, along with this new website we have a new server machine. We'll be opening up an vanilla SMP server pretty soon here on it to relax a build on, staff members have already been playing on it. It will be open only to donors and may be made public in the future with white listing, depending on how it goes. The additional RAM has allowed us to double the view distance on the DayZ server, allowing you to see more of the terrain in front of you, provided you have a PC that can handle it, if you do not, there's of course the option to lower your client view distance in your video options.
